Raval Tennis Ace

A SOUTH Tyneside company has helped plant the colourful seeds of sporting success for a future Olympian.

The Creative Seed – run by husband and wife Garner and Sandy Harris – has teamed up with one of the region’s top restaurants to support Olympic 2016 hopeful Grace Dixon.

The 16-year-old tennis ace, who has been ranked as high as 13th in Europe, has her sights set on the next Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In a bid to inspire the teenager, Creative Seed added a touch of Latin magic to a special reception for her at Raval Luxury Indian Restaurant in Gateshead.

The restaurant, famed for attracting celebrity guests such as Alan Shearer and Sir Cliff Richard, joined forces with SportsAid in the north to raise funds for Grace. Raval manager Avi Malik said: “Grace was identified by SportsAid as someone with great potential, so we were keen to give her all the support we could.
