Raval Indian Brasserie & Bar welcomed some unexpected guests this week when members of acclaimed British band Saint Etienne joined us for dinner ahead of their performance at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead.
The band are performing at The Glasshouse on Thursday 24 September as part of their final UK tour, marking the closing chapter of a career spanning more than three decades.
A Lovely Surprise for the Raval Team
What made the visit particularly memorable was that our team didn't recognise their guests while they were dining.
They were welcomed, served and looked after just as we would any other guests at Raval. It was only afterwards that the team realised who had been dining with us.
Before leaving, the musicians complimented the food and service and told the team how much they had enjoyed their evening.
Our team described them as incredibly friendly, relaxed and down-to-earth — making their kind words about their experience at Raval all the more appreciated.
For us, their comments were particularly special because they experienced Raval simply as guests: enjoying our modern Indian cooking and hospitality without any special arrangements or advance notice.

Saint Etienne at The Glasshouse
